Wake County 4-H Wins Pioneer Award
Wake County 4-H Youth Development in partnership with Health Promotion and Chronic Disease Prevention won the Pioneer Award for the Movin’ and Groovin’ Program. Movin’ and Groovin’ is a low impact fitness program that works with youth and adults providing them fun physical activities and education around healthy lifestyle choices. The program is planned and implemented by Wake County Health Promotion and Chronic Disease Prevention and Wake County 4-H Youth Development. Wake County partners with Parks and Recreation departments across Wake County to offer this free evening programming outside at parks during the spring and fall.
