Hey David hope you are well. I just wanted to get your opinion on the V-C crop since we are about halfway thru the growing season. I think this year we were fairly spread out with our planting as more were planted in April than the previous few years and less in June and probably more in the sweet spot in May. As you know May was dry and since rainfall has been abundant and in some areas too much. It seems to me the crop is moving along pretty well and they have been thriving with the hot and humid days we have had along with the moisture. I know there is a little more landplaster to go out and hopefully all of that will get finished up this week and everyone seems to be on the fungicide spray schedule. I’m not seeing or hearing of any issues at this time and I think for late July we seem to be in good shape. I’m curious to hear your assessment of things.

I agree. I think the crop is in good shape even with some of the early season issues we had. My estimate is still 2 tons. There are some places where water did hurt peanuts but that is somewhat limited in scope. All in all the crop seems to be doing well.
