The attached document will be a chapter in 2023 Peanut Information and outlines the process of being recognized through the 5,000 Pound Club, The Group of Sixty and The Board of Seventy. If you have any questions please contact me or Ashley Collins. We will send out updates through this site, my NC State Extension e-mail list and Ashley’s e-mail list as needed. Historically, we have had a luncheon in late February to recognize top growers in the three categories listed above. For several reasons, we will need to restrict the luncheon to those in The Group of Sixty and The Board of Seventy. Growers in the 5,000 Pound Club will be recognized at Peanut Production Meetings in February and through other channels that the local agent wants to pursue.

We won’t accept any applications that are not signed by the farmer and the county agent.
