February/March: Ready, Garden, Grow!

2.5-hour class designed for home vegetable gardeners, both beginners and seasoned pros. This class is also great for people who have recently relocated and are learning how to deal with the NC weather and soil conditions. Topics covered include selecting a garden site, preparing the garden site, choosing the vegetables to plant based on the season, how and when to plant, plant rotation, dealing with pests and disease, harvesting and much more. Each participant will plan their own garden as part of the class activities.

This class is taught by the Master Gardener Volunteers of Wake County. Admission is free, and registration is required. A separate gardening book will be available for sale for $10.00 for those interested. Bringing correct change is appreciated.
