The N.C. Cooperative Extension Service has launched a strategic visioning initiative to evaluate the organization’s business model and chart a course through choppy economic waters. NCCES has seen recurring budget cuts of $20 million since 2000, resulting in the loss of roughly 90 positions over the past four years.

Soil Testing

There will be a charge for soil testing this year at the NCDA&CS Agronomic Division between Nov. 27, 2013 and Mar. 30, 2014, so if possible, submit your soil samples prior to this time period.  The charge will be $4 per sample, payable by credit card or escrow account, between the hours of 6am-6pm. Gates will prevent after hours delivery. Soil sample test kits are available at the Cooperative Extension Wake County Center.  For more information on the soil testing process please call a Master Gardener Volunteer at (919) 250-1084 or visit NCDA&CS Agronomic Divisions website at http://www.ncagr.gov/agronomi/sthome.htm
