Enroll in Wake County 4-H Online
Welcome to Wake County 4-H! Whether you're a new member or a returning one, we're thrilled to have you join our community of young leaders and volunteers. Below is a comprehensive guide to help you navigate the enrollment process seamlessly.
For Existing Members and Volunteers:- Re-Enrollment:
- Once you create a family profile in the 4-HOnline system, you have to update your record each calendar year (in January) to re-enroll in our program!
- Log into your account on 4-HOnline and review/update the information for youth members and volunteers in your family profile.

- Updating Information:
- The system will guide you through each required section. Some sections need annual completion while others require only review for any necessary changes.
- After updating all information and confirming enrollment, your membership status will be sent to the Wake County 4-H office for approval.
- Youth profiles typically take 10-15 minutes to update and submit, while volunteer profiles may take 20-25 minutes, including the annual required training video.
For New Members and Volunteers:
- Creating a Family Profile:
- If you're new to 4-H or haven't created a family profile in 4-HOnline, take a few minutes to do so!
- Visit the 4-HOnline system and follow the steps to set up your family profile. Once created, you can add individual youth and/or volunteer members.

Joining Without a Specific Club or Project: If you're not ready to commit to a specific club or project but still want to be part of our 4-H community, simply choose the following options during your enrollment:
- Club: "Member at Large (Wake County)"
- Project: "4-H - New Member Guide"
Important Information:
- 4-H Online Resource Site
- Active status in 4-HOnline is required for participation in member activities, events, programs, trips, and as a volunteer leader. To ensure active status, you must re-enroll annually.
- Families without internet or email access can use paper enrollment forms, which will be manually added to the 4-HOnline system by the local 4-H program. Contact us to receive a paper form!
- Remember to create only one family profile per household and keep your login information secure.
