This garden was established to provide the public with a garden that demonstrates the principles of water-wise gardening and to look its best at the time of the State Fair in mid-October.

During the NC State Fair the Extension Master Gardeners volunteers man a tent and table in the garden where we talk to visitors and answer any questions they may have.  We also have a permanent booth near the Fair's competition gardens where we talk to the public about Extension, answer gardening questions, hand out cards, and sell gloves.
