Eastern Piedmont Farm
School

Informational sessions for the Eastern Piedmont Farm School will be held in two locations: Franklin County Center January 7, 2016 @ 6:30 pm Wake County Center, January 12, 2016 @ 6:30 pm NC Farm School (NCFS) is a program committed to helping farmers develop business skills that will have a real effect on their ability to successfully manage a farm and create economic stability. This focus comes from a desire to see growth in small communities throughout North Carolina by giving farmers training to help them succeed. NCFS connects business principles and production practices in order to create stable farm businesses. Soil Testing

There will be a charge for soil testing this year at the NCDA&CS Agronomic Division between Nov. 30, 2015 and Mar. 31, 2016, so if possible, submit your soil samples prior to this time period.  The charge will be $4 per sample, payable by credit card or escrow account, between the hours of 6am-6pm. Gates will prevent after hours delivery. Soil sample test kits are available at the Cooperative Extension Wake County Center.  For more information on the soil testing process please call a Master Gardener Volunteer at (919) 250-1084 or visit NCDA&CS Agronomic Divisions website at http://www.ncagr.gov/agronomi/sthome.htm
