The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) works with both youth and adults to teach self-sufficiency in the kitchen. From budgeting and grocery shopping to knife skills and nutrition, EFNEP participants learn how to provide healthy, affordable and delicious meals to their families.

Meet Our Educators


Hiliana Patino

Began her career with EFNEP in 2016 and has been working with adults in Wake county ever since. Some of her partners include Urban Ministries, UNC School of Nursing- Mobile Health Clinic, Justicia y Esperanza, the Food Bank of Eastern and Center North Carolina and Catholic Charities Centro para Familias Hispana. Hiliana enjoys connecting with the Latinx community in her community.

Davida Julien

An EFNEP Educator in Wake County. She works with adults in the county to improve their health by providing simple ways to cook simple, nutritious, and mouthwatering recipes on a budget and move more throughout your day.
