Until Next Time: Summer Camps with Wake 4-H!

(Updated: Sept. 25, 2023, 2:12 p.m.)

Each year, Wake County 4-H hosts free and/or affordable camps for 4-H members of all ages. This year, we brought back many of our favorite programs for a variety of interests from cooking to drones!

As Summer 2023 comes to a close, Wake County 4-H sends a HUGE THANK YOU to all of our 4-H members, volunteers, parents, and staff for another successful and memorable season.

STEAM Camp

Using university-backed curriculum around science, technology, engineering, arts, and math, participants engage in learn-by-doing experiments to reduce summer learning slide and expand life skills.

Drone Camp

Through collaboration with several universities, county departments, and city parks, youth develop an understanding of a possible future career or education in unmanned aircrafts, learn the fundamentals of drones and to engage in STEM education.
Elementary age Hispanic and African American little boys and little girls are students in public elementary school STEM program. Students are learning about science, technology, engineering, and math while studying a drone. Children are smiling and wearing casual clothing.

Pass the Mic Camp

High school students learn from local artists and activists to create art through different mediums from sustainable paint-making to podcasting! Participants are encouraged to use their talents to inspire change and lead discussion in social justice issues.
