Wake County Small Farm Boot Camp 2026

Wake County Cooperative Extension is hosting Small Farm Boot Camp in person this year! This workshop series aims to provide critical training to new and prospective small farmers. The series will consist of two half day workshops.

Session 1

March 7, 2026; 10 am - 3 pmTrevor Hyde, Deanna Bigio, and Kimberly Webb will deliver the full “Core Curriculum” of Small Farm Boot Camp, covering business planning, market selection, soil health, and pest & disease management. Attendees of the full session will receive a Small Farm Boot Camp Certificate. Lunch will be provided.

Session 2

March 14, 2026; 10 am - 3 pmParticipants will choose up to two different “Specialty Modules” to attend, covering topics such as Cut Flower Production, Fruit Production, Vegetable Production, and Livestock. Lunch will be provided.
