Farm to Fork Camp
Dates: June 15 – 17
Time: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM Daily
Ages: 10 – 12 (Must be within this age range on June 15-17, 2026)
Campers will explore local food systems, visit nearby farms, and learn essential life skills related to food preparation and teamwork. Through hands-on experiences, campers will discover where their food comes from and how it makes its way to the table.
What to Expect:
- Farm Visits: Explore local farms, community gardens, and agricultural sites to learn about sustainable farming practices and how food is grown and produced in our area.
- Hands-On Cooking: Work with our food instructor to create nutritious meals using ingredients gathered from local farms and markets.
- Food Education: Gain a deeper understanding of food production, the importance of pollinators, and how our food systems impact the environment.
- Cooking Challenge: On the final day, campers will visit a local farmers' market to gather fresh ingredients and then showcase their cooking skills in a fun, hands-on challenge!
Summer Sleepaway Camp
Dates: June 21 – 26, overnight
Location: Betsey-Jeff Penn 4-H Educational Center in Reidsville
Price: $605 per camper
Ages: Opportunities for ages 8 – 17
This is a unique, affordable opportunity for youth to connect with nature, develop new skills, and create lifelong memories. The camp costs $605 per camper, which includes lodging, meals, activities, a camp T-shirt, and spending money at the store.
We’ll provide transportation to and from Wake County to the Reidsville location. Additionally, we offer an orientation for all campers to ensure they’re fully prepared for the week ahead. Scholarships are available for families in need of financial assistance.
TRADITIONAL CAMP (Ages 8-12):
- Enjoy a well-rounded experience with activities such as canoeing, archery, horseback riding, swimming, climbing, team challenges, arts, crafts, and more.
- All-inclusive with meals, lodging, a 4-H Camp T-shirt, and a $15 allowance for the camp store.
ADVENTURE CAMP (Ages 12-14):
- A blend of traditional camp experiences with a focus on developing outdoor living skills.
- Includes a two-night on-site campout with unique activities like fire building, orienteering, outdoor cooking, tent set-up, and a thrilling high ropes zip-line experience.
TREKKER CAMP (Ages 12-14):
- Embark on an overnight, off-site campout and trip featuring rock climbing at Pilot Mountain State Park and canoeing on the Dan River.
- Specialized training in advanced canoeing and climbing skills.
- Trekkers spend dedicated time learning skills and have a modified schedule, excluding some regular camp activities.
L.I.T. (Leader in Training) Program (Ages 15-17):
- Tailored for leadership development in a residential camp setting.
- Assigned to a staff mentor, participants engage in program set-up, behind-the-scenes details, specialized training, team-building activities, and high ropes challenges.
- Very limited space; an additional application is required.
Nature Lab
Dates: July 6 – 8
Time: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM Daily
Ages: 11 – 14 (Must be within this age range on July 6-8, 2026)
Step into the world of ecosystems and environmental science! Explore forests, soil, and water as you dig into hands-on activities guided by forestry and soil specialists. Discover how forests grow, why soil matters, and how natural resources shape our world

Youth Voices Into Action
Dates: July 27 – 29

Calling all storytellers and changemakers! Youth Voices into Action is an immersive three-day camp for 13-18 year olds where teens grow into storytellers, leaders, and changemakers. Through hands-on workshops in storytelling and facilitation, participants learn not only how to craft compelling stories, but also how to teach storytelling as a powerful tool for civic engagement.
