NC State just published a new publication, “Maximizing Water Availability Through Soil Management”. This brief article discusses soil’s physical properties related to water retention and some strategies to improve water availability in the soil. While this article is for commercial growers, it is important to understand the physical properties of your soil regardless of the gardening project.
