Extension Center A Message From The Director: Welcome to the information packed world of Cooperative Extension. Some say we are the country’s best kept secret. Historically, we were referred to as Ag Agents, Home Economists, or 4-H Agents. Today, we are known as Extension Educators. Our job is to extend the educational service of NC State University and NC A&T State University to Wake County citizens. This is referred to as outreach education. We deliver research-based information that actively involves urban and rural citizens in solving complex and challenging problems within their communities.
