All of our camps are full, but you are welcome to sign up for our waitlists and we will contact you if a spot opens up.

Summer Camps 2024 (FLYER)

Drone Camps

June 14-21 (Ages 12-15) & June 24-28 (Ages 16-17) 

Explore the future of technology with our Drone Camps! In partnership with the Wake County 4-H SPACES and 4-H SPACESTOO programs, these camps focus on drone technology, a rapidly evolving field with diverse applications. The curriculum covers drone operation, regulations, and various applications, enriched by hands-on training and field trips to Elizabeth City State University. Upon completion, each participant receives a certificate, symbolizing their new skills and perspectives. 

Wake County is closed for Juneteenth on Wednesday, June 19th. The first week of drone camp will start on Friday, June 14th to compensate for the lost day. 

Farm to Fork Camp

July 8-12, Ages 10-12 

Let your child explore the origins of their food at Farm to Fork Camp! From July 8-12, ages 10-12 can learn where their food comes from and how to prepare meals using fresh items from the farm. Participants will visit local farms, interact with livestock, and explore food crops for a hands-on agricultural experience. 

 

STEAM Camp

July 15-19, Ages 7-9 

Ignite your child’s curiosity with our STEAM Camp! From July 15-19, ages 7-9 will engage in hands-on experiments using a university-backed curriculum focused on science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. Combat summer learning loss and expand life skills in a fun and educational environment. 

Pass the Mic Camp

July 29-August 2, Ages 13-18 

Empower your high school students (ages 13-18) with Pass the Mic Camp! From July 29 to August 2, participants will learn how to build and share a social impact story, through different mediums, about a topic of their choice. This unique camp combines artistic expression with advocacy, with the aim of inspiring positive social change.

Beekeeping Camp

August 5-7, Ages 13-16 

Dive into the fascinating world of honeybees at Beekeeping Camp! From August 5-7, ages 13-16 will learn about honeybee biology, colony structure, and environmental preservation. Build a hive, visit working beehives, and create tasty treats and skincare products from honeybee products. Connect with fellow bee enthusiasts through interactive games and activities.
