Wake County Agent Wins State Award
Raleigh, NC- Wake County Extension Agent, Dr. Emily Mueller received the N.C. Cooperative Extension Agent of the Year from the Carolina Farm Stewardship Association for her Leadership in Sustainable Agriculture. Nominated by her peers, Emily was recognized for her work going above and beyond her job description supporting the agricultural community both on and off the farm. Emily has helped to establish partnerships around local food and sustainable agriculture practices through the Capital Area Food Network. Several partners, farmers, and community members contributed to commend Emily on her dedication to agriculture in Wake County:

The award was presented at the Carolina Farm Stewardship Association’s (CFSA) Sustainable Agriculture Conference on November 2, 2019, in Durham, NC. Emily will receive a grant to fund projects in 2020.
